About the Role We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Officer/Gardener to assist across both our residential aged care facility and our Support at Home community clients. The position is currently offered on a part-time basis, 4 days per week, with the opportunity to transition to full-time in the future. This is a diverse role that combines maintenance and gardening services, delivered directly to clients’ homes and within our organisation. You will play an important role in ensuring safe, well-maintained environments that support the well-being, independence, and dignity of older Australians. Key Responsibilities Maintenance (Facility-Based): Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance Maintain buildings, equipment, and grounds to a high standard Identify and report maintenance issues and safety risks Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards Gardening & Support at Home (Community-Based): Provide gardening services to clients in their homes (mowing, pruning, weeding, yard tidy-ups) Support safe, accessible outdoor environments for older people Work independently across multiple client locations Report hazards or client concerns to the care team Maintain accurate records of services delivered About You You are practical, trustworthy, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team. You take pride in your work and understand the importance of respectful service delivery in aged care settings. To be successful, you will have: Experience in general maintenance and/or gardening Ability to work independently in community settings Strong awareness of safety and risk management Good communication and interpersonal skills A current driver’s licence A genuine interest in supporting older people Desirable Experience in aged care, disability, or community services Understanding of Support at Home or similar programs Why Join Us?
